I had the opportunity to stay at The Courtyard Downtown for the weekend of Caribana. During that whole weekend I never felt safe due to the amount of young people and gang like elements residing there. Although policemen were stationed in the hotel lobby during the 3 day event, I felt unsafe traveling to and from my hotel room as... more
I booked a two queen bed room at the Courtyard Downtown Toronto on Hotwire. When my wife checked in she was given a one king bed room. I complained, and the hotel quickly found a two queen room for us (two adults and two kids: 13 and 11). Overall, we were satisfied. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The hotel... more
I was having breakfast in the restaurant of Courtyard Marriott before taking a taxi to the airport. I had all my most important things: passport, wallet, cell phone in my purse, since I was ready to leave the hotel and fly back to the US. My purse was stolen from the back of the chair, while I was sitting in... more
We spent 3 nights in July. Large central Toronto location: short walk to university and around the corner from Church St scene. Close to subway.Rooms clean, though medicinal smelling. Usual attentive Marriott staff. Parking available, though expensive. (We used public lot around the corner.) Free Internet access; public computer in lobby. more

It was very centrally located to a subway stop, shopping (Eaton Centre), restaurants, the University, and other points of interest in Toronto. The staff was very friendly especially the bell hops and valets. I enjoyed the room as it was very spacious, clean, and had a great and... more

Pluses: + convenient location, right on the Yonge/Spadina subway line (well, 2 minutes' walk away), just off Yonge Street near College. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby,... more

Asked for hight floor, extra pillows and towels prior to arrival (on Marriott site). Room was on the top floor with lots of pillows and towels. Nice gym area. Huge hot breakfast buffet... more

Located in Downtown Yonge but without the noise. Walking distance from Eaton Centre, cafes/ coffee shops/ restaurants, shoppers drug mart. Taxis readily available just outside the hotel lobby. We spent three nights at this hotel visiting family, Niagara Falls, and CN Tower from June 30th through July 3rd. The rooms were huge which was unusual for a Courtyard and were also clean and nice. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathrooms were also very clean and great water pressure. Staff were very couteous and helpful... more
