Worse place I have ever stayed in my life. What a dump. I do not even classify this as a hotel, suites or residence for that matter. The owner guy was rude not understanding at all. The place is very ghetto to say the least. I recommend to any and all people to stay away from this place if you... more

Usually when some one leaves extreme remarks, we know from the text, who the person is. You! ....We have no clue. Either you have never been a guest and grudging on behalf of someone else. Whatever are your reasons, let me tell you something, no one gets rude for no reason. If you push anybody to extreme, then be prepared...

Never ever give your credit card information to the owner of this crappy hotel. He will rip you apart! He charged me 100s of dollars claiming telephone charges !!! He is extremely rude and has no professionalism what so ever. He doesnt hesitate to hang up on you, if you try to ask for justification. He will charge you for... more

There are some people who will never be happy. You demand, not request, unreasonable things be done for you. You don't to pay after using the services. You call asking to look around for your husband, on the property, just because he did not answer you phone calls. Then you make long distance calls, knowling fully well, it is only...

Do not book with this hotel unless you can handle very rude and unprofessional management. The owner/operator claims that being a small business excuses him from common courtesy and customer service but it does not. He will hang up on you. He will ignore you. He will hide behind the obnoxious “legal terms and conditions” and do everything in his... more

I guess, you are right. There is no excuse for being rude and discourteous, neither is being a small business. In fact, no business can survive with such attitudes with anyone. Online booking is great convenience. You will also agree, it brings lots of abuses, and fraudulent uses. Every online business has to represent accurately, especially if they accept credit...

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the St. Lawrence for 4 nights in July 06. The Location of the accomodation was great and within easy reach of all the attractions Toronto has to offer. The room we stayed in was very small, with one double bed, cable tv, refigerator and air conditioning - but there was little space for us... more

Thank you for sharing your good experience. Having read your comments, I would like to add, next time try one of our SUITES. Suite are almost 60% larger, have private bathrooms, shower & kitchenette. Great thing is the price is only 20 - 30% more. For under $150 it is a great deal in Downtown Toronto.

I had booked a room at this particular hotel through hotels(-) and after reading all the reviews cancelled it the very next day well in advance to what hotels(-) 's cancellation policy is, yet the manager had charges me $700 dollars to my credit card. Now I have disputed the charges with my card company. I am seriously thinking of... more

I am sorry to hear about your experience. I don't wish to teach you the law, or tell you about your responsibilities, when you are making an online booking. However, you create a legal and binding contract, when you click on, " I have read the terms and conditions, and agree with the conditions". No one but you make that...

What a hidden gem. I was looking for budget place to stay in downtown Toronto and came across this place. The prices were good, the location was excellent. I booked a deluxe double room, for me and my girl friend. The room was small, but comfortable. It had a TV, fridge, and even a microwave oven. Microwave really came in... more

My sister-in-law and her fiance rented this "hotel" (which is really a seedy hostel). They were there a week until the guy wanted to suddenly charge $100 a night for such a dumpy room. He also owes them money for deposit and wouldn't return it. There is also no way of contacting guests. We were desperately trying to reach them... more

First of all I’d like to thank the writer, though according to him he was never a guest at this property. Having said that I acknowledge, partially what he described is true. We are a small property, and I answer for four companies, especially after hours, when the calls are Call Forwarded to my cell phone, it is impossible for...

I booked what I thought was a great "hotel" deal on Expedia and when I found out that it was a hostel,(on the internet), I tried to cancel the reservation. Expedia told me to take it up with the 'hotel'. I called the place and a man answered the phone,"Hello?" I asked where did I call and the man rudely... more

Our affordable accommodations consist of; rooms with shared washrooms, and suites with private washrooms and kitchenette. We make every effort that the information is full and complete at the site, when a prospect is looking to book a room. A guest must also agree to our cancellation policy, to be fair, we only request the payment information, after they agree...

We booked the St.Lawrence for three nights in July, 2005 after having read one very positive review on Trip Advisor. It seemed reasonably priced and from the pictures and description it looked as if it would meet our needs. We are experienced travelers, not needing luxury, but wanting the basics ( like a private bathroom and airconditioning during a 90... more

A basic accommodation can be different for different people. A private washroom and air-conditioning can be basic, that is why we offer a choice of both. It is all about choices. We are constantly improving, so it is always on the go. When a guest wants to see the room, it is not a problem. Credit card and ID is...

It was just a coincidence that I dould this place. I was going to to TORONTO for a months training at the headoffice of my employer. I looked all over but found nothing at a reasonable price, close to my headoffice that I could book. Then I found this place, ST. LAWRENCE RESIDENCES AND SUITES. WOW, a nice comfortable bed... more
