Sort of agree with previous reviewers, its clear people had been smoking in rooms, apart from that, was pretty happy with the room considering what id paid for it, its pretty well downtown, 20 min walk anywhere, although does seem to be based in the red light area, some hookers based outside my room every evening from 1030-0200 made pretty... more

We made the unfortunate mistake of booking a room at this hotel. When we arrived we could not find parking, we had to park three blocks away, which really was not a big deal. The room itself was not very clean, there were used matches on the floor and the comforter had cigarette burns in it, the lamps had rust... more

We unfortunately had to make a trip to Toronto during the week of the Toronto Film Festival and everything was booked. Our only choice was the Econo Lodge. The room was small but that wasn't the problem. There were cigarette burns and filth on the carpet, I didn't even want to take my shoes off. There were cigarette burns on... more

Contrary to the earlier reviewer who mentioned getting a permit from the hotel to park free on the street, the hotel does not make this available now (at least they told us they had nothing like this). We ended up paying $13 a day for parking in a lot three blocks away - no big problem, but if we'd known... more

I stayed here one night only since I had an overnight layover in Toronto and I was on a budget so I chose this place based on location and price. It was pretty basic with cigarette burns in carpets and bedspread, wallpaper peeling in places, and worst of all - hairs left in the sink and tub. That is one... more

I visited Toronto w/my best friend for a "girls weekend". Upon check-in we were put into the wrong room but that was corrected after a short time. The room was clean and neat. Some of the other guests were a little "shady", but nobody gave us any problems (I would avoid staying on the third floor). Unfortunately never got up... more

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights despite some reviews about the area. Whilst we did see a couple of working girls nearby and people asking for money, this didn't bother us and was the same as in any other city (but felt safer). The room was quite spacious and recently renovated by the looks of things. Came with... more

This is a half-decent hotel. My room was quite big, clean, well equipped and was also good value. The breakfast was quite poor - self-service cereal and toast with polystyrene bowls and plastic cutlery. It's a good 15-20 minute walk into downtown Toronto which didn't bother me, but I wouldn't feel safe walking south on Jarvis Street towards the harbour... more

This is a good budget hotel in downtown Toronto. I paid $88.00 CAD. (taxes incl.) This included free internet, air conditioning, TV, hairdryer, and continental breakfast. The room wasn't in the best of shape and there was dust on the furniture. There were several cigarette burns on the carpet, markings on the wallpaper, and damage on the washroom ceiling, but... more

Excellent budget hotel in downtown Toronto. Just minutes from Eaton Centre by walking and at great savings in room price. Hotel was clean and nice, but no elevator for the upper floors. We had a very nice queen size room and was well taken care of by the staff. Even saved a gift that I mistakenly placed near the trash... more
