There is nothing Victorian about the interior of this hotel, which is a new construction behind old house facades, forming a large development including the adjacent Chateau Laurier. Work is still continuing, as evidenced by the concreting and noise outside our small window. Booked through a conference organiser, we may have got a less easily sold room, which was cramped,... more

i had to stay in a room, dark like a hole without any daylight, with a view to a dirty backyard through a small window (unfortunately i stayed with a group so that i couldn`t change the hotel). From my opinion many rooms in this hotel will not earn even one star ratings, they are substandard more

When my wife and I visited a few years back we stayed at the Clos St. Louis, rated # 2 on TripAdvisor. That hotel has character, terrific, personal service and an even better location. This hotel is right outside the gates on the Grand Allee, filled with plein-air restaurants and cafes. Our double room on the fifth floor was spotlessly... more

Located on the Grand Allee about a block from the Assemblee Nationale, this hotel is within walking distance (if you're in reasonable shape) of every major attraction in Quebec City. Though we stayed in the cheapest room they had (with one small window overlooking the alley), the room was very clean, comfortable, and the staff was wonderful. Valet parking was... more

I visited this hotel in late feb. of 2005.I stayed here with my friends from french club. It was a good hotel for the price but nothing special. The staff was nice and the rooms were clean. There was only one problem. The room I stayed in with my 3 other friends was very small. I have never been in... more

We stayed there for 5 nights in Feb 05, during the winter carnival. It was in a perfect location, staff were very helpful, the rooms were excellent and there was a free internet pc in the lobby. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Our flight was delayed so we arrived after midnight and checked into our room on the 5th floor.... more

Were 13 year old students who went to québec for a school trip. An unfortunate event .....one of the 4 of us got sick in the tiny bathroom and it went everywhere. The hotel moved us to a new room and said it would be clean in the morning. we heard later that day by the teacher that the hotel... more

Ten years ago on a honeymoon with no itinerary other than to drive through Quebec and New England, my wife and I discovered Le Manoir Lafayette. For our fifth anniversary we returned and will again this year. The staff is courteous, the rooms are excellent, and the service splendid. The location makes it easy to walk to Le Vieux Quebec... more
