Lakeland Village is a development of townhouses and a big building of condos, right on the lake in the town of South Lake Tahoe. We previously stayed in a 1-bedroom condo in the building, this time in a 1-bedroom + loft townhouse. The townhouses are more $$$ but definitely worth it - far more spacious, nice feeling to walk out... more

We rented a 5 bedroom 5 bath townhome for Mother's Day weekend. We had grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all in the same unit with plenty of room! The unit was clean, within sight of the lake, and we loved the daily maid service! We complained the first night about noisy neighbors and the management was there within minutes and... more

We recently stayed at Lakeland Village Resort in South Lake Tahoe. We booked a 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath unit with loft. All of these units are individually owned and we loved our unit (#508). You can tell that the owners took the time to decorate their unit, making us feel comfortable and giving us the feeling we were in... more

I chose this place based on the reviews in Expedia. This was my first trip to Tahoe and I wanted to go up there for my boyfriend's birthday. One of the reasons I chose this hotel is because of the kitchenettes and the lakefront location. We were not disappointed! Each condo/townhouse is individually owned. Our room (we had a studio... more

Myself and 5 friends from all over the country decided to leave the familes at home and make a trek to Tahoe for some skiing and partying. Lakeland Village had just what we needed for the price we wanted to spend. We all shared the 2 bedroom 1/2 bath and there was plenty of room for all of us. PROS:... more

We all LOVE OUR rental. I rented a 2 bdrm 2 bath with loft. It is very very very clean!!! The kitchen has... more

First time in Tahoe for a ski weeked, and not knowing which hotel to book, I saw various websites for this Hotel which has very nice photos of the Delux Studio. Based on the available accomodation, I booked a room for the weekend. What we found Good: The staff at reception or in the ski shop were very firendly and... more

Just got back from a guys ski trip. We stayed in a one bedroom loft in the hotel portion of Lakeland Village. Overall, it was fine. I wouldn't hesitate to go their for a guys trip, but I'd have second thoughts on taking my wife there for a romantic getaway. The good: The location was good, close to Heavenly. The... more

Last Visit:December 2007 My family just returned from our HORRIBLE stay at Lakeland Village. We rented a 4 bedroom townhome. We had several problems: carpet was filthy, it appeared that it had not been cleaned since it was installed. The carpet had holes in it as well. It was furnished with 1975 Motel 6 furniture. The refrig was broken. The... more
