I could not believe what a dump this was. The only good thing was the view but it is not worth staying in this place. The rooms are old and outdate. The beds are hard. The bathroom was so small the door would hit the toilet when you opened it. Only a shower no tub. When out on the balcony... more

I have never spent as much as I did on this room. At $187 inc tax I got a corner suite with a kitchenette. I was told this was the least expensive room and that I was upgraded for free because it was out of season on a weekday late in the afternoon. Staff was very friendly. The room is... more

Unfortunately I didn't check TripAdvisor before booking and staying at this hotel. The hotel is old- and has not been updated in a very long time (maybe never). It was built in the 60s. Well to be honest the shower was remodeled. The view is beautiful, but you can see the lake from just about anywhere and it's not worth... more

The location is perfect! it has a wonderful view of the lake, but the place is very old and it seems that they have not renewed anything since they opened it. So far is the oldest hotel in the area. It is imposible to sleep because you can hear the people on the upper bedroom walking at nights or the... more

I took my husband this last weekend to Tahoe and Reno for Memorial Day. The weather was very cold and it even snowed a few times, but being from Tucson, Arizona we enjoyed it. The Lodge was very old and the carpets need to be replaced, however the view was wonderful and it was close to every thing. We stayed... more

My husband and I stayed at Lakeshore Lodge for 3 nights during the second weekend in May 2008. Having read the reviews prior to making reservations, I felt comfortable with the minor shortcomings of the hotel in exchange for a lakefront location with a gorgeous view. We found a great rate on Orbitz for $99 per night. It was so... more

I choose Lakeshore Lodge because I didn’t want the casino scene and I was looking for a hotel with a view. Lakeshore Lodge provided me with my two requirements! I stayed for four nights and the staff graciously up-graded me to a 4th story room with a kitchenette and wonderful lake view. The hotel is right on the shore of... more

Hard to beat this 170 deg view on beach from So. Lake Tahoe, views from Tallac on west to Round Hill on Nevada side. Rooms are old with decent cosmetic updates. Nice gas Franklin stove warms large room well. Biggest drawback is the poor noise insulation from floor above. more

Right on the lake! Amazing views!!! Private beach and pool. Walking distance to everything. Stayed in beautifully remodeled condo, unit 229. Charming and very comfortable. Had everything we needed. Was a perfect place to take kids. Beach right there made it so easy and fun. We even took advantage of the bbq's on the beach. A fun place to meet... more

don't expect to sleep. the beds are hard as sleeping on a rock. the view is beautiful and the service is friendly, just don't expect to sleep, we had booked two nights and couldn't wait to leave, if they replace the beds, this could be a great place to say. more
