Although we had trouble finding this hotel we were pretty much surprised about the wonderful location close to Stateline and a couple of yards from Lake Tahoe. Wonderful staff and very helpfull. Free breakfast. more

The room was large and (relative to the size) sparsely furnished. Furnishing and decorative touches were plain, but adequate. The bathroom and vanity area was small. If you're there for what's outside the hotel room (as I assume most staying in SLT are), the room is perfectly fine as a place to sleep, shower, and prepare for outdoor activities. Rates... more

The first sign I should have payed attention to was when my friend and I caught the nighttime manager watching porn in the customer service office. If I had taken this hint and found another hotel, we would not have had this terrible time to follow. The next day, after returning from snowboarding, we unlocked our door to find our... more

Reasonably priced, older Tahoe-style motel with clean and some very spacious rooms. Our family booked two rooms and one with the kitchenette was quite large. There was a continental breakfast every morning with coffee, tea, croissants, bagels, muffins and instant oatmeal. The location is great, with a shuttle stop to the casinos and California Lodge right outside the main entrance... more

This has got to be the WORST place I have ever stayed!!! I was mislead by the 2 star rating from HOTWIRE, even though I paid $100 for the room. Priceline has gotten my family and I into 4 star Hotels for only $65 so I thought for $100, we might stay at a really nice place. We got TOTALLY... more

We initially booked this motel for only 2 nights as were unsure that we'd like it going by what we had read on various review websites. Well we ended up staying for 5! Great value for money, clean rooms, clean towels every day, bed made every day, free coffee and doughnuts at reception every morning too. Whats not to like... more

The hotel was OK and clean, also resonable for Tahoe but I would never stay again. Why? My reservation promised Wireless Internet in the room as well as coffee maker, hair dryer etc. It turned out this wasnt that easy. Well, you can rent all these luxury items for max. 2 hours a day, internet only in the lobby and... more

I researched several sites, trying to find a hotel that was the least expensive, yet not a dive. It is amazing how many places in Tahoe charge over $100/night and get aweful reviews. I finally decided on the Best Tahoe West Inn. I did not have high expectations to begin with, so I was not disappointed. The facility looks old,... more

My wife and I decided to go to Tahoe because the kids were with grandparents for the weekend. My wife found the Best Tahoe West Inn in the AAA Tourbook. When we called to make the reservation we were informed of their terrific AAA discount. The rate seemed very good which made us curious as to the quality of the... more
