We have just returned from a six nignt stay at this lovely hotel. It is always a gamble when booking over the internet as pictures often deceive but this lived up to its images. We were welcomed with a tray of tea in the lovely lounge as we had had a very long journey. We could not fault this hotel... more

Stayed at Lugo Rock for one night in March. We were pleasantly surprised with the owner setting the place up well. The ensuites were a bit basic, but now less than most UK guesthouse style places. The rooms themselves were well appointed and the staff were really helpful on local attractions and restaurants. The location was also quite nice, just... more

This is a brilliant small hotel/guest house or whatever you want to call it. I have stayed three times and each time has been great. I am used to spending more and getting less. I have always stayed on business and I must say that one of the rooms I have been in would be a little small for two... more

I arrived late on a pretty stormy February night and was welcomed in with a fresh pot of tea and biscuits. The wireless broadband worked a treat and having been on the road for two days I was able to catch up with all my emails in the peace and quiet of my room. When I discovered that there was... more

Prior to booking we were assured by the owners that they had put a great deal of effort and money into refurbishing their hotel and we were not dissapointed. We stayed for five nights in a double with an adjoining room for our Grandson. Both were delightful and well appointed, a nice touch was fresh bottled water provided in the... more

We used the hotel to accomodate our staff for a sales meeting being held in Falmouth. Although the owners were accomodating in the use of their lounge and dining room when not in use, it became apparent that they were not comfortable dealing with so many people from one group. This hotel or guest house as it should be labelled-... more

Whatever this hotel was like before the new owners took over it's not like that now. They gave a very warm welcome to two tired muddy walkers (We'd just completed 50 miles of the coastal path). The hotel is spotlessly clean. Our room (the Pendennis room) was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. The other rooms we glimpsed looked to... more

This hotel was previously called The Carmelle Lodge. I stayed here with my husband last summer whilst touring Cornwall. Contrary to the pictures on their website we stayed in a smelly, dirty room. The bathroom and bedding were filthy and we had such an uncomfortable night we left the money for the room and drove off around 5am. Overall an... more
