Did our usual one night August stay in The Ship and enjoyed it once again. This time we were in Room 9 on the top floor of the adjoining cottage and our son had single occupancy of Room 6 - a small double at the back of the cottage. Room 9 is a lovely good sized double overlooking the harbour... more

We stayed and ate here for two nights. Good bar. Good ales and ciders. Flagstone floor. A few too many fruit machines for our liking, but that's just being fussy. Dogs are allowed in the bar and rooms. Food was well priced. Steak and chips sort of stuff. Decent portions. Breakfast was fine. The first room we had looked out... more

The location is amazing we were 10ft from the harbour wall. Our room was on the top floor and overlooked the harbour. We opened our bedroom window every night and fell asleep to the sound of the waves gently lapping against the harbour beach. Our room was a large double with a sofa and comfy bed with the best sea... more

Great location and oozing atmosphere - but we were disappointed by the off hand nature of the staff. This is basically a pub with rooms - rooms which although have superb views and are cosy, are nevertheless in urgent need of re-furbishment. The food was standard pub fayre - nothing exciting and cooked reasonably well. It was the staff though... more

This is a drinkers pub rather than a hotel! It has 3 rooms - no. 3 is over the bar and very noisy until very late. The view is fabulous thought the room is small and some electrical sockets are falling off the wall! Night store heaters are hard to control too. If you don't mind the noise from the... more

Spent four wonderful nights at the Ship over Christmas. Friendly welcome and outstanding service from Blanche and Andre Alexander and their staff. Superb value for money considering the time of year, and the fact that 23 December witnesses the Tom Bawcock's Eve celebrations, which commemorate the village being saved from starvation by a local fisherman. Rooms are more than adequate,... more

Stayed one night in the cottage next to pub room eight. View from window very good.. Room was clean but quite small. Heating excellent and shower was good. Bed in room very hard. No noise from pub next door but local rowdies came out on the quay at 2,00 in the morning and kept going for an hour, strange for... more

My boyfriend and I stayed in the cottage next to the Inn for one night. The staff in the pub and resturaunt were so friendly and attentive to our needs. The pub is lovely - dogs welcome. The resturaunt has great food at tea time and for breakfast. The room we had was good - the shower in the ensuite... more

We stayed one night at the Ship at the start of a Land's End to John O'Groats trip (by car!) and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were small but adequate for a couple of nights and the evening meal and breakfast were also fine. The atmosphere of the pub was good and the St Austell ales were worth the... more

The Ship Inn is right on the quayside in the lovely coastal village of Mousehole. We had a room in the cottage next door, owned by the Ship. The room was functional and tiny, as was the bathroom (shower only) but the location is really what makes this place. Good value food (nothing fancy, but perfectly decent and good value)... more
