For the price of the room and being a 4 star hotel we were a little disappointed. The rooms were a good size with plenty of furniture in them but maybe too much as there were a number of areas with a layer of dust on them. The blanket on the bed and seem better days with a frayed edge... more

We stayed over a weekend at the Poachers and enjoyed it very much. It is situated at the roadside in a lovely, quiet village. The pub and restaurant are in the main building. Stayed here for 6 nights as an escape from the dreadful Cromwell Hotel in Lulworth Cove. We were warmly greeted with complimentary drinks in the lovely lounge bar. Our room was super - nicely furnished in pine wih an adjoining room for our 2 boys. Nice bathroom too. We were so thrilled to be somewhere nice after our previous night!... more
