Stayed on a warm night. There is something seriously wrong with this hotel when it is a warm night. We stayed on the second floor and had to leave the door open because it was so hot and stuffy - we hardly slept a wink. I can confirm that the staff are unsympathetic. They just said - 'if you think... more

If you like to sleep when you go to a hotel i'd try another one! The rooms are far too hot, when i asked to change room i was advised all the rooms are too hot!!! I was told that if they put air conditioming in the rooms they would have to charge at least £150 per night, well they... more

I dont know what my wife and I had done to deserve this place. It is a fine looking place from the outside but dont let that fool you. The previous reviewer is quite right in that the rooms are stifiingly hot - much worse than a recent experience of mine in Bangkok - and the window opens no more... more

Room was extremely hot, asked at reception if we could be moved, they couldn't do anything about it as the night worker did not have authority. All fans had been taken by other guests, windows were restricted and only opened a little. Did not get any sleep through the night. Complained the next morning. Was informed that ALL rooms are... more

We stayed at the Travel Lodge for one night. There was 50 of us down to watch the football. Reception only had the rooms as being booked as singles instead of double and family rooms. After our organisers had sorted out this initial problem, things were fine. Our double room was spacious enough and bathroom clean, although only enough tea... more

I've stayed in many Travelodges, but this is the one I'd recommend the most. The staff are exceptionally helpful, the rooms are spacious, clean and tidy, and the location is ideal. It is just off the Motorway, and right by the Park and Ride area for buses into Cheltenham that save the trouble and expense of trying to get a... more

If you want a good base to discover Cheltenham then this should be fine. Situated just on the edge of the town the heart of Cheltenham can be reached very easily. Rooms are clean and very basic ( TV, kettle and that is it). If you are someone who likes the hotels bathroom kit of soaps etc then be warned... more

Easily one of the worst budget chain hotels I've ever stayed at. Despite only being three years old, the hotel feels depressing and ark - the room was cold, drafty, noisy and very small. The window, though double glazed, didn't seal properly and facing directly onto one of the main roundabouts into Cheltenham constantly had heavy traffic 24/7. The shower... more

We found this Travelodge good value for money (at 15 pound you can't really complain). We were treated well by the staff and found the rooms clean and comfortable. There was no air conditioning though, which meant we had to open the window, which meant traffic noise. We ended up having to shut it though as the noise was too... more

We did a 2-day tour of the Cotswolds and stayed here and the Travelodge in Cirencester. We live in Canada and were skeptical, having experienced Travelodge motels in the U.S. What a pleasant surprise. Polite & helpful staff, everything we needed in a clean, up-to-date room, including a "Disabled" room for my mother (a rare find in the U.K.). No... more
