Stayed at Butlers for two nights on 19th & 20th September. Arrived mid Friday afternoon to be greeted by Brian our host. Immediate impression was of a lovely Georgian? period Hotel which was clean, well decorated and had some character. Checked in and stayed in downstairs room - can't remember the name.. (All rooms are named after famous Butlers Jeeves,... more

We stumbled across this gem on the internet and stayed their, for the first time, last November - we were not to be disappointed. It is a wonderful haven of tranquility and warmth - we were made very welcome, the service and manner were extremely pleasant - Guy and Robert are the true definition of what makes an excellent host.... more

Stayed here for 1 night on our anniversary this week. Booked on the basis of reviews here and was not disappointed. We had a superior room (Coleman) overlooking the garden and as it was great weather it was a superb setting in Regency Cheltenham. We had a very polite greeting when we arrived and it we were offered assistance with... more

We stayed at this splendid hotel a year ago and still our memories of this quaint establishment remain crystal clear. Such a pleasant little hotel with lovely little nic-nacs all over. Pleasantly decorated and maintained to a very high standard. The rooms are comfortable & spacious with good en-suite facilities. The Guest lounge is a nice little place to relax... more

This small hotel charmed us from the very start. The room was large and gracious, with a double bed plus a twin, and was furnished with a wardrobe, a dressing-table, two chairs, a coffee and tea-making area complete with biscuits, and a lovely bathroom. A hairdryer, an iron, an ironing board, and a television were also provided. The bedroom had... more

An extremely nice place to stay. Only a 10 min walk to the shops and a 10 min walk to the restuarants in Montpellier. Would recomend to anyone.Very pleasant indeed. more

I stayed for 3 nights whilst at the Races at the recomendation of friends who have stayed for a number of years. On the way I was a tad lost and late and a friend passed the phone to Guy, one of the owners who helped direct me to Butlers. The Hotel is in a great spot, so forget my... more

This was the very best place I stayed during my 3 week stay in England. The minute I walked through the front door, I felt at home. It is a very comfortable, warm place. I had the lovely garden room which opened into a beautiful garden. The owners took me in, fussed over me and went above and beyond in... more

An absolutely delightful place to stay for anyone, but ideal for any lone female doing the Literature Festival or any other event at Cheltenham. The hotel is located on a quiet turning off of a main road, and I was entirely happy to walk to and from Butlers late in the evening. It's approximately 10 minutes walk to/from the Town... more
