At first everything appeared fine when I booked into the hotel, the member of staff was polite and friendly, however we stayed in room number 7 which had a four poster bed. We stayed in the Captain Keyte room which was charged at £205 for 2 people on a D,B&B basis. The room was clean but small although the bathroom was quite spacious. Booked The Royalist for a special birthday treat. It turn out super and the staff were very helpful. The hotel goes back in history quite away but the rooms very much up to modern standards, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was everything one would expect and the evening meals divine. Recommend to anyone wanting something a bit special. more
