As with many old manor/palace style buildings, most of the rooms were in newer extensions to the original building. The main buildings and the grounds are fantastic. Our bathroom had not been cleaned after the previous occupant and left in a disgusting state. The Shower and lights stopped working too! Staff were friendly. more

My wife and I booked this hotel for one night only and were impressed with the hotel from the minute we drove through the gates. The building is superb and the surroundings are magnificent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our whole experience was just what we wanted - relaxing and stress free. Our room was much bigger... more

Stayed here to attend a business meeting nearby. Charming building with lots of character. Reception staff are polite, friendly and efficient. Being a listed building the layout of the rooms is a bit of a maze!. Listen carefully to the receptionist's directions or you WILL get lost. Room is quiet, clean and comfortable. Hotel has a decent leisure facility. Hotel... more

We were looking forward to a relaxing weekend at this hotel but unfortunately that was not what we got. The building itself is spectacular, the leisure centre is great and the staff on reception 2nd to none but that I'm affraid is where the positives end. We had lunch in the bar and my husband found a balled up piece... more

We stayed for 2 nights in a connoisseur room with our 2 children, aged 6 and 10. The room was spacious and had lovely views of the grounds, however, the childrens beds were awful. They were 2 very old camp beds with mattresses about an inch thick and combined with the old tatty blankets, looked like something out of a... more

Certainly the hotel is set in some lovely grounds, and car parking is ample. Staff in the main were helpful, particularly at reception. We booked dinner in Moretons Restaurant and found this was only OK, not exceptional. The pool I must add though was good and changeing facilities are spotless. What drew my conclusion as 'Disappointing', in writing this reveiw... more

This hotel has been a favourite with us for some years. Book a room in the old part of the house if your budget will stretch to it its well worth it. We noticed on this visit that the service had improved tremendously some reviewers have complained in the last few years and athough it never put us off we... more

Tortworth Court is a fantastic hotel which has kept all original victorian features in a tasteful, stylish manner. We were lucky enough to stay in the mansion itself and the room was very spacious, with every facility you could think of. Views were superb and the surroundings spectacular. We were able to walk around the arboretum and enjoy the peace... more

Initially Four Pillars Court reservations booked the wrong hotel (sister hotel in Witney) for my stay, but fortunately the mistake was found out and the hotel reception stuff at Tortworth were very helpful to correct the mistake. The new room allocated was lovely, with high ceiling and beams covering the roof space. The only drawback was the noise coming from... more

I stayed in Totworth Court for a week while visiting Bristol. From the outside, the hotel is very good looking. The inside, however, leaves much to be desired. In general, it is old, hot, rundown and overpriced. But what really bothered me was the ants. They were everywhere in my room. The last straw came when I found three crawling... more
