I worked in Kendal for a few months and stayed at the County mid week for 2 months. Yes it does look at a bit dated but I found the facilities perfectly ok, it is clean and the rooms are fine if a little .... dated. However it does offer good value for money when compared with most nearby hotels.... more

I stayed at the County Hotel Kendal last week 1.10.2007 for four nights. The hotel was looking rather tired and in need of refurbishment, especially the bathroom in room 211. The toilet seat was cracked and chipped, the shower was only for the height of a three year old, everything in there was old and tired. The bath was large... more
