hi just back from a two-night stay at acorn house. it's a spotlessly clean B&B with lovely, comfy rooms. the staff were warm and helpful and the breakfast fantastic. definitely recommend and will stay there again more

This was our first visit to the Lake District. This inn was convenient to the bus that brings you into the town. Beautiful location, service very helpful, breakfast very good. View from our room was beautiful over the rooftops of the town to the hills around the lake. more

We have now stayed at Acorn House on three separate occasions and each time it has been lovely. Our most recent visit was May Bank Holiday 2007. We have stayed in Room 4 on the last two visits and this is a lovely room with a four poster bed, nice big bath and beautiful views of Skiddaw from the windows.... more
