Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights , greeted by the owner Martin.on arrival with complimentary drinks. They could not do enough for us ,directed us to the best places to visit. even gave the 4 of us a lift down to the town, with a tour of the local celebs houses on route. The rooms are very well presented... more

Stayed her Monday to Friday and could hardly fault it. We stayed on the top floor and although the room was spacious and spotlessly clean the bathroom had no natural light so felt a little dark, however Martin did tell us, without any prompting, that they were to be updated to include skylights so a bonus when we return. The... more

I stayed for two nights in April 2008 in a deluxe single (double bed) which cost a total of £86 for the stay. I was greeted by the proprietor and immediately made to feel at home by being offered a welcome pot of tea, even before i had signed in. The hotel is wonderfully furnished with leather sofas and chairs... more

We stayed here for five days from April 21. The greeting was lovely tea, coffee and biscuits when we arrived in the first lounge with a roaring open fire. The second lounge is brighter with a view out to the garden. Our room was splendid with a four poster bed, nice view, soft towels and dressing gowns. Tea and Coffee... more

Just returned from a two night stay at the Willowsmere. We stayed in a four poster double room which was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The whole guesthouse was immaculate and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. The Willowsmere is just a short walk from Windermere, but a bit more of a walk to Bowness about 30minutes. The first... more

The guest house is perfect for the elderly or disabled with a purpose built room with bathroom on the ground floor. Great location perfect base... more

The Willowsmere is a really warm, quiet and truly lovely place to stay! It is a beautifully decorated, small and inviting inn with loads of authentic English history and charm, friendly and helpful service, and an unbeatable location to explore the Lake District. It's a very pretty 5-10 minute walk from the Windermere Train Station (which was especially important to... more

A great hotel to stay in at at Windermere. The owners were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was very good. The room we stayed in was a good size and the ensuite bathroom was very large, only suggestion would be that they upgrade the shower to a power shower (just missed an excellent rating). The hotel has a large... more
