We had a fantastic time staying here! Hosts are welcoming and helpful...nothing is to much trouble. We stayed in the gold room,beautiful 4 poster bed,tea/coffee facilities.Although the rooms are not en-suite,each room does have its own bathroom. There's also a delicious candle lit breakfast on offer each morning.Definatley worth a visit !! more

Bats and Broomsticks is the finest Gothic guest house anyone could wish to visit. The owners are the most hospitable,friendly people you could wish to meet,and just wait till you see the (candlelit) breakfast!!! ten out of ten can't wait to go back again. more

Back again for one night 2 years on after our first stay. Glad to see standards haven't slipped at this unconventional B&B! We were in the gold room this time which looked good. Spooky and fun. Service was still good and breakfast still a treat. It is still good value, but should keep an eye on maintaining it's batty decor... more

We had high hopes for Bats & Broomsticks & we were not disappointed! Lovely large room, 4 poster bed, lots of interesting spooky nick nacks! Breakfast was lovely, as much as we could eat. Hosts were friendly but we had plenty of privacy too. Bathroom is not en suite but each room has it's own, so there was no queuing! more
