This was by far the most grotty and disgusting place I have ever stayed. Smelt terrible and the first room I had smelt so awful and was so dark and dingy, with a bathroom that was not clean and was so tiny it was almost impossible to use so I had to ask to be moved to a second room.... more

We stayed at the Talbot Hotel on Saturday May 19th 2007. Do not do it. The hotel is filthy and they demanded the payment up front--no surprise in retrospect. I am surprised that the Yorkshire Tourist Board has not intervened, or indeed the health authorities if they exist in practice. more
