We stayed in the 5 mile for one night, Oxford can be pricey and at the more reasonable end of the market we were prepared for it to be a bit shabby...but not at all! The room was decorated to a high standard and exceptionally clean. Bedding smelt clean and was very comfy,which really matters to me when I'm away.... more

The house was warm and welcoming and everything was provided for us . The only down side I would say , was the size of the basin-it was a tiny guest basin and pretty impossible to have a decent wash, toiletries provided and an excellant breakfast made up for it . The owner was very helpful with local buses about... more

We were looking for overnight accomodation in Oxford, and found that the Five Mile View Guest House filled the bill nicely. Althoug not large, the ensuite room was very clean and comfortable, and breakfast very generous. Marilyn the manager was particularly obliging regarding bus travel and local sights.
