I chose this hotel for it's location to where I was meeting friends for a night out and I booked one of their executive rooms as I prefer a larger room - didn't work at this hotel, the room was tiny, hardly any room to walk around the bed. I think the only difference from a standard room (apart from... more

Got a great rate (last minute) of £127 for a suite which included breakfast, newspaper and internet access but I was still anxious having had mixed experiences at other Crowne plazas/Pedersen group hotels of which this is one. Needn't have been. Huge balcony overooking Thames - perfect with a glass of wine on a glorious day watching 20 or 30... more

Stayed at this hotel for a wedding that we were attending in the Reading area. We paid a premium to have the 'executive room' with the privileges that this (£30+/night) gives. This includes a happy hour in the club lounge, hich includes free drinks for 2 hours as well as free snacks. We have stayed in these types of rooms... more

We spent a weekend here on a room only basis. The hotel has recently been refurbished and we found the bedroom to be fairly small but well equipped. The decor throughout is modern and attractive. The location is very good ,being right on the river by the Caversham bridge. What lets the place down is the restaurant which offers a poor... more

We booked for three nights but only stayed two, we had prepaid for three nights@ £160 a night, breakfast cost £15.50 per person. The hotel itself is very well presented and we like the ambience of the place. The leisure facilities were very good despite the swimming pool being very cold. Good parking. We liked the room card security system on the... more

Hotel website quotes "Of the 122 standard and Crowne Plaza club rooms the hotel has to offer, each room features air-conditioning, high speed broadband internet access, laptop safes, mini bar, iron & board, tea/coffee facilities, on demand movies but more importantly plenty of space for you to work at and relax in seriously comfy beds." Another of their affiliate websites... more

As far as Reading hotel goes this one is pretty good. It is a 20 minute walk to the centre and not too far from the train station, with a lovely view of the river bank with its swans and walk paths. Check-in service was excellent, as was the staff. Free car park which was very convenient, nice beds. TV... more
