Just not a very nice hotel, it feels like a dirty motorway motel. The rooms are small, the double bed not great felt very small. Service by staff was not good, especially check in where the receptionist just didnt seem bothered. Relatively cheap and it feels it. more

Very disappointed with our two night stay at the Ramada Hotel. Booked via hotels own web site - quoted Queen sized bed only to be told the hotel only has doubles or singles. Rooms are tiny with bed pushed against the wall. No bath in bathroom, shower only. Found the staff very unfriendly and miserable. Would never stay at a... more

A fairly standard business type hotel. Double bed placed against the wall, with immovable bedside table . No air conditioning but fan provided on request. Staff excellent! Good location adjacent to the A14 more

I arrived at half past eight on a Sunday evening with my tired 10 year old son on an unscheduled stopover in Bury St Edmunds having had enough of camping at the Latitude Festival. I paid £86 for a twin room. The first room we were given was either already occupied or had not been cleaned. Quite an achievement as... more

I stay at the Ramada about 2 or 3 times every week. It suits my need as a business traveller, free internet, limited but OK food, OK rooms and friendly staff. I get it for about 60 quid per night which is fine. Rooms do vary, I have stayed in huge and small rooms but all have been clean. If... more

The Ramada was simply a business hotel. The hotel lobby was rather pretty with a nice brick wall and oak bar. There was a resterant there too but was very expensive. It cost £16.00 for a TINY cottage pie!! The dinner for 6 of us including drinks cost £220!! The rooms were small but functional. The beds were extremly comfortable... more

Staff not friendly, just doing a job. No atmosphere, okay for business stay I suppose. Room very small not enough space for two people to pass between the chair and dressing table. Worst of all was the space under the dressing table and near to skirting boards, has not been cleaned for months .. my eyesight is not brilliant but... more

The Ramada (Butterfly) is quite a hike from the centre of Bury but it is walkable if you are reasonably fit. Set next to the busy A14, traffic noise may be a problem if you are unlucky enough to get the wrong side of the hotel. Our room was mercifully on the quiet side of the hotel. The hotel itself... more
