We found Penryn easily following excellent directions from the hotel's own website. On arrival there were plenty of parking spaces, and we were welcomed with tea and homemade cakes, which I can honestly say I've never experienced in any other British B&B. Our room was lovely, really well decorated and spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed, from tea and... more

We spent a night at this lovely bed and breakfast in August. The owners could not have been more helpful if they had tried, both in the booking, arrival and during the stay. Their hospitality, accomodation, and breakfast were first class. The room we stayed in was very clean and tidy, with all the little touches such as clean fresh... more

My husband and I stayed here in July. We stayed in the garden room which was spotless. On arrival we were given tea and home made cakes which were lovely. Breakfast the next day was excellant. The owners were so friendly and helpful and we would recommend this guest house to anyone. On our return we discovered that we had... more

Arrived late in the afternoon, well after tea time, after having spent the morning driving from London with stops at Blenheim Palace and a few little towns in the Cotswolds. Not only did the owner carry our luggage up the stairs for us but immediantly offered us a cup of tea once we settled in at no additional charge. (we... more

We stayed here for 2 nights paying a lttle exta for a superior room, which was an individual building in the garden. We loved the fact that we had the seclusion and privacy of our own annexe but were still able to feel 'at home' within the house. The owners were helpful and friendly, bringing us fresh tea and home... more

My daughter and I spent two lovely nights in the superior twin room at the Penryn House. We enjoyed the quiet and the extra seating area. The bathroom was very clean and roomy. The beds were the most comfortable that we had while we were on our two week trip. The proprietors are friendly and extremely helpful...giving us a map... more

We found this guest house just by driving past and managed to get a room for the night. The double room was spacious with very comfortable bed and well stocked refreshment tray. The ensuite shower room was a good size and very clean. The breakfast was excellent better than some expensive hotels and the owners were very friendly and helpful.... more

When I was younger and more mobile I visited Stratford numerous times. When my husband & I visited this time, I was a little apprehensive as I now have limited mobility. The great joy of this historic town is that is small enough for visitors to stroll around, to view all the various attractions. When I booked with Penryn I... more

Penryn is a lovely guest house offering such a wonderful home from home welcome for the weary traveller. On arrive tea and home made cakes appeared as if by magic together with a brilliant street map and Anne highlighted the places of interest to ensure we saw the very best of this beautiful town as well as recommending an excellent... more

First, let me say that the website for the Penryn makes the house look like a charming little cottage in the heart of Stratford. This is absolutely not true. The Penryn is outside of the city center by a few miles, not within walking distance at all. It is on a busy street with lots of road traffic day and... more

Management response from
Polly126, Owner

We were saddened to learn of our guests dissatisfaction of their stay with us and would have welcomed an opportunity to discuss their concerns during their stay as our aim is always to provide the highest standard of service to our guests. However, we believe it would be mutually beneficial to respond to the points raised:- 1. Penryn is a...
