It's what you'd expect from a Travelodge, basic and clean accommodation with no frills. It's location is very good for Broad Street but not so good for New St station which is a very awkward 15-20min walk away. For the price you pay, this is a fairly average property and one can have no complaints. I can never understand some... more

I stayed in a family room at this hotel for one night recently for an away fixture, and after reading a few grim stories on here I was tempted to book somewhere else. The reception staff were fairly quick checking in a large group of us and the rooms were clean and surprisingly large. The bed is pretty comfortable though... more

Checked in okay, we had a large room at the front on the first floor. We were with friends who had rooms on higher floors, at the back of the hotel. On our way out, we thought - what a great location, right near the city centre. During the day Broad Street is like a sleeping giant - it all... more

Grotty, unpleasant place to spend a night. The noise from the street combined with the constant hen party / stag night traffic down the corridor made for a restless nights sleep. Barely acceptable even if very drunk. Judging by those leaving in last nights clothes, it is only good for cheap one night stands. Hardly the place for romance. Rooms... more

We got a bargan deal, £19 a night, but that is the most it is worth. It feels generally run down and shabby and in desperate need of an overhaul. One of the lifts is broken; the rooms are in need of repair. No remote control for the TV, taps in the bath a bit broken and so on. Staff... more

Stayed at this hotel on 3rd August 2008 after visiting Cadbury World. I have to say that the hotel has deffo seen better days, its a bit shabby. We stayed in a family room (one double bed and a sofa which made 2 more single beds) We had only one 10 yr ols child with us and she chose to... more

Great location; decent and adequate parking available behind the hotel. Sainsbury's opposite the hotel. We (two couples) stayed four nights; one of the rooms had very low water flow in the shower; had to request a change of room. In another room, the window would not close properly, and rain water leaked through into the room; again had to change... more

Very small dirty car park, for which you need to have sufficient change (£5 in coins). Reception area is OK, but it goes down after that. Dirty carpets, lifts, corridors. Walls need re-painting and carpet needs to be taken out. The room was large but also very run down. The window was closed but had a hole where the handle... more

This hotel is situated in the middle of Broad Street. My room was on the 6th floor and facing the back of the hotel. I had no problem with noise from either the street or fellow guests. The place is extremely handy for the NIA , Symphony Hall & ICC (literally a 5 minute walk). As with all the Travelodge... more

We booked this hotel room because of the bargain price of £19 for the room! www.travelodge.co.uk The hotel is very basic, no bar, no room service or restaurant, no phone in room etc. However it does have the location going for it, it is central for all the shops, bars and restaurants in Birmingham City Centre. We went and visited... more
