Had a bad feeling when I walked in. Stacks of chairs in reception, a queue to check in, grubby corridors and an equally grubby lift. Got to my room and I really would not have stayed if it was free. Little bigger than the small double bed in it and unbelievably shabby. Falling apart would be my description. Worse still,... more

The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept on in an hotel and the room was fine. The quilt was 10.5 tog and although we requested something lighter it was not forthcoming and we had to use the one in my Dad's room. We ate out in the evening at the Red Chilli nearby which was very good... more

Excellent location for railway station and shops. Impressive entrance hall, bar and restaurant. Excellent choice for breakfast and helpful staff. Excellent facility for storage of luggage if required before check-in or after check-out. Room was quite shabby and stuffy. Bed was fairly comfortable but base was very shabby and material ripped. Only basic television channels as cable was not available,... more

I travel a lot in my job, spending most of my week days in a hotel somewhere in the country. I have been to Leeds before and stayed at some "big brand" hotels, I wont disgrace them here, they know who they are! I had been booked into my hotel The Leeds Met and arrived to quite a charming, chic... more

I stayed in the hotel for a girlie weekend for the May bank Holiday weekend, found the staff to be fantastic and the room standard to be brilliant, we had a triple room and there was plenty of space for three, the room service was lovely and very quickly delivered, location was brilliant right beside the train station, if I... more

The architecture of this hotel is stunning from the outside, however, the staff on the inside are a real let down. The reception 'manager' muttered comments under her breath as she checked people in which was very rude. Another member of staff promised to rectify a problem with our booking and then smirking, never got back to us as promised... more

I booked this hotel after searching over the internet, the photos and info looked great!! Once I had booked it I looked on this website and was a bit concerned. I had planned a romantic nights stay for me and my boyfriend and really wanted a nice room etc. When we arrived, the reception was gorgeous, not at all what... more

Booked a for one night (Saturday) through last minute for £89 - bed, breakfast and a bottle of wine. Very good value. Good location, reasonable value for city centre, secured parking. Pleasant staff, clean and spacious room. Breakfast was fine (but a pity about the cold plates). Only complaint was the eratic shower which veered between very hot, very cold,... more

The Met Hotel was in an excellent location in the city centre, however my friends and I were quite appalled with the room decor and cleanliness (or should i say lack of). The divan beds had chunks missing from the corners, the side of the bath was hanging off, there was cracks up the walls and the carpet was stained.... more
