The Village is part of the Village hotel chain, in which I stayed several times. Stayed here on a Saturday night - somewhat of a mistake. The rooms have bad soundproofing and the television from next door was clearly audible. Firstly the preferential rates I was apparently getting from the hotel turned out to be £10/day more than if I booked via the web. The hotel advised this is because I booked via the website which operates independently of the hotel. I didn't understand that rationale either. We stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends in Cardiff. On checking into our room, we noticed the room smelt a bit odd but didnt think much of it and just opened the window.
