We stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends in Cardiff. On checking into our room, we noticed the room smelt a bit odd but didnt think much of it and just opened the window. The bathroom was FILTHY, it had body hair and toenail clippings all over the floor and bottom of the bath, there were also dirty footprints... more

I have just returned from a family get to-gether at this hotel and I have to say that there is nothing that my family or I could find to fault this hotel. The hotel is well situated near to Cardiff, the food was excellent and the rooms were extremely clean. I have to say that this was the best value... more

We stayed at the hotel on a Saturday night at the beginning of July whilst we were attending a concert in the City. Although it took a while to find the hotel (as the directions say 200yrds of the M4 junction, when it is much less) when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. We arrived before 2pm but our room... more

I have stayed at the hotel a number of times, through necessity rather than choice! I have regularly been disappointed with the attitude of some of the staff and the service I have received. (In particular, the staff on reception.) On more than one occasion I have been standing at reception (the only guest waiting at the time) whilst the... more

Have been regular customers of the village in cardiff visiting around 5 times a year. Stayed there this bank- holiday weekend, what a dissappointment, they have a new chief executive who is trying to revamp the ovarall image of the village hotels. I would suggest to customers wishing to stay there dont expect a good meal, the pricesof the meals... more

Arrived at 5pm told children not allowed to use the pool at this time - in fact they seem to be considered an all-round nuisance at this hotel. So if you have children - ring and check to see if the pool is available to them before you book. Hotel great if your having a stag/hen party or if you... more

The hotel is OK, the rooms are spacious and the breakfast is presentable. The bar can be very busy which it certainly was on the Friday we arrived, there seemed to be some sort of singles club going on in the bar. Watch your bill very carefully. My bill was for 1 night at £95 with no extras, they charged... more

We stayed at the Village in Cardiff on 26th Feb 07. First impressions were very good. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. My partner needed and early breakfast at 6.00am due to a hospital appointment and the reception girls arranged this with no bother at all. Sure enough at 5.55am his breakfast arrived at our bedroom, excellent. We spent... more

I travel down to Cardiff often and the Village's location to the north of the city - just on junction 32 of the M4 / A470 - is convenient for me. From outside the hotel looks quite impressive. There's a very popular health club and it can get quite busy with locals as well as hotel guests. I've always found... more
