Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Firstly the location, if you don't mind not being smack bang in the city centre, this is great. There is a bus service every 5/10 mins to the city centre which leaves just outside the hotel and free parking at the hotel so convenient for tourists. We chose it as we knew the... more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Waterfront in Leith in early July based on reviews on Trip Advisor. I actually changed my plans and came a night early - the manager not only had a room for me for the extra night, but actually lowered the price on the second night for me as well. I ended up paying only... more

We (2 adults and 2 children) stayed in the hotel for two nights visiting Edinburgh. The hotel is quiet and aboit 10 minutes ride to teh city centre on bus. The breakfast is good, but room on a small side for 4 of us. We would stay in the hotel again. more

My wife and mother-in-law and I stayed here for one night as part of our driving holiday around Scotland. We chose this hotel because of (a) its location and (b) the price. It's pretty much what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. The rooms are clean and well decorated but bland. The bathrooms are also clean but basic. Breakfast... more

I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. Clean, comfortable and always felt safe and secure. What more could you ask of a hotel? The breakfast is just as an American would expect at any Express Holiday Inn in the US. Extensive choice of cereals, juices, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, breads, muffins, croissants. Always well stocked and... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two weekend nights in April and couldn't have been happier. As many reviews have already stated, the hotel is outside the city center, but has a great bus service available. Bus number 22 stops right outside the hotel about every two minutes. An all day pass is only 2.50 and the... more

We have to say we really enjoyed our entire stay here from the moment we arrived. The staff were very welcoming they knew straight away that we were there on a short sightseeing break and gave us very useful tips on where to go and the best way to do so. The room was very comfortable and clean with daily... more

My Husband and I have just got back from a two night stay at the Holiday Inn, Waterfront, Edinburgh. The hotel served our purposes well. We were there to site-see and therefore the hotel was really just somewhere to lay our heads at the end of the day. The hotel is located in a suburb on the outskirts of the... more

The location of this hotel is very very good indeed. It's right next to the Ocean Terminal and all the associated shops, Royal Yacht Britannia etc. Parking is absolutely no problem. There are also some very good restaurants and bars within walking distance. I was very impressed with the location, everything is smart and modern. As has been pointed out... more

We have just returned from a weekend break at this hotel in Edinburgh to see England V Scotland at Murrayfield. Although approx 20 minutes outside the city, the transport system is superb and extremely accessible. The No. 22 stops outside the hotel and takes you straight into Princes Street at a cost of £2.50 per day and is 24/7. The... more
