Stayed here for a week in March. First impressions on pulling up outside was oh my god what have we booked!! The outside seriously lets its down!! Inside though the apartments were very clean and spacious. Had to move apartments during the first day = first apartment had the most squeaky floor boards ever - TV system didnt work, went... more

We spent one night at the hotel and it was just what we expected. Comfortable room, freindly and attentive staff, great location for walking uptown. If you need a comfortable hotel with no special frills, it's a very good place to stay. We didn't try the restaraunt and we left very early to get to the airport. more

Stayed for one night. Happened to coincide with the Queen hosting a Garden party a few hundred yards down the street, so the traffic was a nightmare. The hotel is right behind the Royal Mile and a short walk from the rest of Edinburgh's attractions. The rooms are clean and bright. Lots of space and you're given everything you need... more

As everyone says, the place is excellent and like living at home. Of course that won't be cheap, but I still felt it was worth it for the convenience. Its a small place and tucked out of the way, so no views or anything, and a long walk to the new town and mcdonalds and whatnot. Location is along the... more

I won't repeat the previous reviewers remarks, which are right on target. We also had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment, but on the 5th floor. It was spacious and a wonderful change from hotel living. We were there for 3 nights. The plumbing really didn't bother us, I think it's the water pump working. The floors do squeak as... more

Based on reviews from this site, I booked a 3 night stay at the Holyrood for myself, my 10 month old daughter and my parents who were visiting us from the States (we live in Germany). After initial concerns due to a local taxi driver's comments, we were more than pleased with our experience. I think the taxi driver had... more

We stayed for a week at the Holyrood Aparthotel over Hogmanay (New Years) and loved it. We were in Edinburgh for our honeymoon and it was an almost perfect place for us. Fully equipped, spacious apartment in a great location, and with a very attentive staff. Because it was fully equipped we were able to make our own late breakfasts,... more

The Holyrood Aparthotel is a winner! We stayed for 3 mights in early December. Location is great, as others have mentioned. Personnel are extremely helpful and friendly. Our apartment had one double bed room and one room with twin beds which was perfect for us. The apartment was spotless and well appointed. Bed linens were comfortable and the basket of... more

Stayed for four nights with my young son during half term. The location is very good and within easy walking distance of all the central Edinburgh tourist spots. Off street parking is fully secured but can be a bit tricky to manoeuvre around when it's full. The apartment was well laid out, very spacious and contained everything we needed. There... more

Stayed here for a few days, found the rooms to be more than ample, plenty of room, staff were friendly and helpful. Great spot for easy access to the bottom end of the Royal Mile, just walk a hundred yards and you are on the street. Plenty of places to eat just up the road, you can walk everywhere from... more
