The Kelvingrove is a small hotel, just a short walk from Glasgow's great Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery and the lovely Kelvingrove Park. The owner and people working at reception are very friendly and helpful. There is free internet access in the lobby. Excellent full Scottish breakfast included. Stayed here for 3 nights on vacation to Glasgow. Staff were brilliant, very helpful and happy to give info about great places to go in glasgow. Rooms were very clean, quiet and well equipped. Fantastic location with only short walk to city centre. Overall a great hotel. Would recommend to anyone!! more

Maybe this is as good as it gets for the price in Glasgow, but our experience was that the innkeepers aren't committed to avoiding shabbiness.
