This place is wonderful. The entrance is classy, simple and spotless. The spark of their bar/restaurant nextdoor gives arrival an extra something - a promise of something GOOD. Just stayed 2 nights at the Brunswick in the heart of Glasgow city centre. Why funky? Well there are stong reds and blues used in the decor. Okay, the location is good. But the rooms are incredibly tiny and the corridors are claustrophobic. Breakfast is even worse: some prefab cereals, yesterday's croissants, plastic cheese and ham, all served in the bar which still smells of last night's beer. The waiters couldn't care less and don't even wipe the tables. On the whole: really bad value for money.... more
