We stayed in The Alexander for one night in April. It was a pleasant stay and we were lucky to have a room with a view onto the river. Arranging the booking via email went smoothly, as did checkin. The rooms are nice and the breakfast was excellent too. Overall definitely a B&B that can be recommnded more

Just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at the Alexander. Accomodation is immaculate throughout. Beautiful house in a truly beautiful location, cental to all ammenities. Don't miss this great guest house if you are staying in Inverness. Our room overlooking the River Ness was immaculate! Happened upon this B&B through Trip Advisor and it was well worth a visit. Sits amongst a number of B&Bs along Ness Bank. Clean, freshly decorated, ensuite rooms with all mod cons (the Strathpeffer Spa soap is fab!). Cast iron bed which squeaked everytime I moved, but it was a nice visual touch. Breakfast was delicious. A fabulous riverside location in Inverness, with friendly owners and a great breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean, as was the shower room, and the breakfast was good and hearty enough to set you up for the day. Parking is no problem either. Highly recommended. more

Good points; location, seems quite well run, very clean and bright and recently decorated. Good breakfast and friendly serving staff. Owner was a little brusque with us because we arrived 30 mins later than planned (due to slow restaurant). We thought this was a little unfair as we arrived at 7.45pm and had also called ahead. Worth it for the breakfast alone – we had a great stay. Clean, crisp and friendly and in a great location only minutes from the centre. The locally sourced breakfast and toiletries demonstrate the wealth of good produce available in Inverness and that it's worth visiting for much more than just Nessie!
