I stayed at the parliament in mid July with my friend who had never been to Dublin before. We had a fantastic time made much better by the location of this hotel. We were only 5 mins walk away from Temple Bar area and 10 mins from the Guinness storehouse. Grafton street and O'Connell street are only a short stroll... more

We were looking forward to staying in a good hotel for our first trip to Dublin. Rather than go for the cheapest available we opted for the more pricey Parliment Hotel(the name has changed to The Arlington which caused two of our party to arrive at the wrong hotel). On arrival there was obvious renovation work underway( bare plaster in... more

This was my fifth visit to Dublin and I have usually stayed at the excellently located Arlington Hotel on O' Connell Bridge; the original Arlington Hotel, and by far the best, however, prices have become too steep lately so I had to find somewhere else. I found this other Arlington Hotel in Dublin, which, as it turns out, is now... more

Looking at previous reviews, I'd say this hotel has undergone a change of management as well as its name (formerly the Parliament Hotel). The bar and restaurant were both closed for refurbishment and it looks as though some serious work is being undertaken there. It's central for Dublin and Temple Bar. As this is one of the most famous (?infamous)... more

Beware. The hotel has been sold off and the sign removed from overhead the front door. It has been replaced by some bill boards at the side wall, and is now called the Arlington Temple Bar. For those on a meal/room deal the resturant is closed temporarily so it means a 10 walk to OConnell St to the main hotel... more

Great location. easily a 20 minute walk to anywhere you need to go. i would highly recommend and will be back. the only thing i would recommend is to skip the breakfast not worth it. several other places to eat breakfast at. did not eat in dining room due renovations. Overall great place central to any historical site more

Great location, comfortable and clean....thats about all of the positives i can think of. some, if not most of the staff were rude, not very helpful for Dublin first timers when asking simple questions. although room was at the back, was still very noisy, bar and restaurant were closed for refurbishment which was disappointing as we had no idea of... more

I booked after reading the reviews and despite the references to noise, there was a sense that this was a decent place. I am happy to report that I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay. It was a wonderful value. Although there is a lot of street noise and I was second floor facing the street, it never... more

Stayed at the Parliament Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The hotel itself is clean with all essentials included such as shampoo, shower cap, towels, kettle with tea and coffee,as well as an ironing board and television. The location couldn't have been better as every must see site was walking distance. The staff were polite and the service in general... more

after our stay at the parliament hotel i have to say i agree with many previous comments. the hotel is a great base to explore the city from but be prepared for a lot of noise! outside is a very busy road with a seemingly never ending stream of buses and cars and the all too regular siren from the... more
