An amazing honeymoonA terrible hotel - please do not stay there, yes it is cheap
I stayed her with my younger sister in 2004, I have to say it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The hotel is located in Temple Bar which is why I booked it, we wanted to be as central as possible and not pay over the odds Access to the hotel was up a set of steep... more
I would not stay at this hotel again. It was a good price but the room was pretty horrible. It was located in Temple Bar so the location was good, we were right next to all kinds of pubs and restaurants and in walking distance to a lot of tourist attractions. The room was pretty gross. There were crispy stains... more
We stayed in the Bridge house last week we had 3 rooms and It is not that bad its cheap accomadation , it was clean and location was great, There is no lifts so the stairs kept us fit staff where frendly .They where getting the place done up new carpet got put down when we where there .I would... more
The photo that shows bridge house is not the real photo, I walked past the place a couple of times thinking this couldn't be it. I had my partners parents over from new zealand and I was very annoyed and just cried when we got to our rooms, I wouldn't have even put my animals in there if I was... more
I cannot believe some of the positive reviews about this hotel. It is, without doubt, the dirtiest most unmaintained hotel I have ever had the displeasure in staying in. Staff had trouble speaking english and couldn't understand the simplest of requests. Continental breakfast on the first day consisted of cornflakes and bread rolls with jam. Stairs were filthy with carpets... more
While visiting Dublin for a brief stay, myself and 3 friends booked 2 rooms in the Bridge House. At 2* we weren't expecting anything special, however, we did expect a level of cleanliness. Upon arriving (up a very steep staircase) we found our room was up another steep pokey staircase to the top floor. The staircase had a range of... more
The place bore no resemblance to its description on the hotels.com website. No one present spoke English; there was no manager on site or available for us to talk to. The room was dirty, the bathroom moldy, the mattress on the bed upside down so we were sleeping on the springs. Or trying to, anyway: it was impossible to sleep... more
I just came back today from a 2-day stay at the Bridge House, and below are, in my opinion, the pros and cons of the place: PROs: - Location: At Temple Bar. One street away from the river and, although noisy, not right in the middle the scene. - Price: Let's face it, that is the only reason why you... more
We were not very impressed with this hotel. it is ok if you want a cheap place to stay. we had no hot water on the first night (which i was then informed had to be asked to be put on) and no central heating for the three nights we were there. even though i complained twice about this i... more
