Our brief stay in the Cedar Lodge was indeed a refershing experience for me and my husband- what with the comfort and peaceful quite the lodge offers, with its food and overall services being just as impeccable. We were deeply privilaged to have enjoyed daily the very warm services of the Lodge's man-at-the helm Mr Tom Martin and his staff... more

from Idaho, USA This was our first trip to Ireland, looking a bit for family roots. We had such a nice stay, and especially for the plethora of information that the owner gave to us. He suggested places of interest, and gave us a great deal of history and information that was so useful to make our trip a memorable... more

I have quite mixed feelings about my stay in Cedar Lodge: the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean, yet there was no mattress cover on the mattress, just a sheet. The bedroom was large and comfortable. Breakfast was no better than you would get in any "caff", but cost almost Euro15. I didn't eat dinner in the restaurant, having been unimpressed... more

Conveniently located a few minutes drive out of town in picturesque countryside. I was a little concerned that the road noise would bother us sleeping, but it proved to be very quiet. We enjoyed our dinner at the hotel and our room. Everything was well presented, tasteful, spacious, relaxing, clean and friendly. The owner, Tom Martin, helped to make our... more

We came to Ireland for a short break and chose this hotel from one of the main hotel/travel booking websites. There was a huge number to choose from but we were glad we chose here as it was perfect. It is a privately owned establishment, (well positioned for travelling in the southern counties) and that was reflected in things like... more

We have stayed here before and the fact that we came back is a high recommendation. Its a small and very friendly hotel with an absolutely delightful proprietor who is much in evidence in the bar and reception areas. Rooms are large and comfortable. The evening meal is a must to experience and of very high quality if rather pricy... more

We stayed one night at the Cedar Lodge after arriving on the ferry and found it excellent. A warm and friendly welcome, large room with two double (and very comfortable) beds and everything spotlessly clean. Excellent meal too (and great to see a fire in the dining room). Would recommend highly. more

Stayed at the Cedar lodge for 1 night. Overall the hotel is lovely. Very quite and relaxing in the middle of no-where, just what we wanted really. The room was really big with 2 double beds. The bathroom was also a great size with a huge bathtub. Staff and customers of the hotel were really friendly and would stop and... more

We booked this hotel based on the fact that it's listed in the Good Hotel Guide and we were not disappointed. My wife and I were in need of a relaxing weekend and we spent a very enjoyable weekend at the Cedar Lodge. Large rooms which were spotlessly clean, a bar with a real log fire and good humoured staff... more
