The rooms here are typical Travelodge. They are basic but clean & perfectly adequate for a short stay. Irons & hairdryers are not in the room but can be borrowed from reception. There is plenty of tea & coffee provided. It is about a 15-20 min walk to the Bridgewater Hall/GMEX/MEN, etc, and less to the main shopping area. There are... more

This hotel is great for people who want to be close to all the city centre attractions but don't want to pay high city centre prices for hotels. It is about a 5-10 min walk from the Arndale Centre, Picadilly Gardens and the Printworks. The Church Street NCP car park is about 5 mins walk away and £9 for 24... more

I am from the U.S. and was on a limited budget to attend a conference at the G-MEX center. I found a deal on the hotel's web site for 130 GBP for 5 nights (26 GBP per night). By the way, the hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the G-MEX. There is tram service to there, but by... more

Booked into this hotel for one night as I was in Manchester for a concert. The location was excellent for the city centre and the MEN Arena - both are withing walking distance. The rooms in this hotel are VERY basic and they could do with investing in upgrading the mattresses in the rooms. Only one towel per person was... more

Check in was easy, although the bar seemed to be full of groups of men on various stag nights. The room was very basic, and despite being a double room we only had one towel between us. The sink was dirty and hadn't been cleaned properly. We were warned to request a room at the back of the hotel due... more

We stayed for three nights at the beginning of August. The hotel is in walking distance of Piccadilly station and Piccadilly itself, and is at the junction of two busy roads. It was hot, so you had the choice of the window open and cool and noisy or closed and quiet and hot. The room was o.k., but there was... more

Okay for the price but experienced some problems. Firstly, my girlfriend checked in several hours before me and they were hesitant to give me a key, despite the fact that the room was booked in my name !! Room was ok, but shower curtain allowed water to go all over the bathroom floor. Also, we stayed there during the hot... more

I booked a night at this Travelodge through Travelodge's UK website. They had a "supersaver" deal that cost me 10 pounds for a night's stay, which is fantastic. The hotel itself is located very near the main streets of Manchester. As a single, female traveller, I felt safe walking to the main downtown area (or city centre, as they say)... more

We checked in on the 21st May 2006 for 1 night as we were going to see Take That. The first impression is bleak! There were broken glasses on the floor and a pair of dirty knickers thrown out of the window. The staff were very friendly and helpful with all our needs. The rooms were what you'd expect from... more
