There is nothing fake about this ancestorial family home. To be welcomed at the former castle gates by the current count was indeed unusual. Magical, Stunning, Beautiful. Even these three words do not do justice to the Chateau d'Urtubie. My wife and I stayed for four nights (June 6 - 9)and it was delightful.
