We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The location, as all the reviews say, couldn't be better, right in the heart of Saint Malo (though noisy). The rooms and bathroom are just like those of any average 3 stars hotel. The big BUT was the staff. We asked the receptionist how we could get to Mont Saint Michell and... more

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean but the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable to say the least. Ok for a night but we went for 3. There are cheaper hotels outside the wall which are only 10 mins walking distance. Its safe to walk outside and there are loads of street lamps. more

This hotel is right in the heart of the old town - which is a double edged sword. Ideally located for shops, restaurants, scenic walks etc. but a nightmare if you want a good night's sleep. The rooms overlook a very busy street with restaurants, bars, clubs etc. and are not air-conditioned so you have to have the windows open... more

Overall given some of the reviews on this site this hotel was better than expected. We booked through Britanny Ferries and it was much cheaper than any of the hotel booking sites. The location is just inside the main gate and couldnt be better located for both the ferry terminal (5 min walk) and all the shops and restaurants inside... more

An earlier review questioned the availability of parking. They do have garage parking, but there are only some 8 spaces, you need to book in advance and get there at a reasonable hour. The other review worried me, so on the way out I called at the hotel to check. The receptionist took me down to the car park to... more

My wife and I stayed here with friends for two nights. It was booked as part of a Brittany Ferries package. It is classed as three star When we arrived I noticed that on one of the signs outside the hotel a star had fallen off leaving just two. And that was reflected inside as well. The staff were not... more

Great location for a weekend trip to St Malo, but the hotel is 'tired' and seemed to be short of staff and those there were didn't seem friendly. No-one said hello when we arrived or goodbye when we left. The restaurant was poor quality and poor value, in fact we were the only ones there and even then the staff... more

I was a bit apprehensive about staying here after reading the reviews on TA, but didn't have much choice as most hotels were full for the long May Day weekend, and in the end was rather pleasantly surprised. The location is excellent, right within the main gate in the walled city. The rooms have apparently been recently renovated and, while... more

Very expensive given the standard of the rooms and facilities. We booked two twin bedrooms, each barely had room for two beds jammed together. No room left to open an suitcase! The advertised "car parking" (at an additional 13 euros) consists of 10 spaces at the local public carpark, which were all taken when we arrived at 7pm. The extremely... more

This hotel is an excellent position within the walled town. The public areas are very pleasant, but there are some very dark, very small bedrooms which are certainly not worthy of the hotel's 3 star status. The room we stayed in had an equally tiny en-suite bathroom which had a broken toilet seat and a door that neither closed nor... more
