We came upon this 18th century hotel almost in desperation looking for somewhere to stay before catching the early morning ferry home. Lovely, elegant hotel in a quiet area. No problems with service or facilities which were very good. However, the entrance to the gardens and parking area was through electronically operated gates and over a raised area of driveway.
