The best explanation I can think of for this hotel is an old Holiday Inn. It has very little charm and is a bit shabby. Our fellow occupants during our 2 day stay in June were predominantly business travelers. The carpets were old, the door handle did not work well, and the rooms were musty. Stayed here for 2 nights recently and we were very pleased. Great value for money, and easy access from the A6 autoroute. Staff were very friendly and there is an onsite restaurant and bar. Great breakfast with terrific orange juice (machine is great to watch!) Hotel is a bit out of town but there is a bus from Blvd Marne... more

An unplanned visit: had to be quick. Auxerre is easy to get to for both of us so we decided to go there. We didn't enjoy the Parc des Maréchaux last time we were there, so we looked for other hotels with pools. Les Clairions at first sight looks like a new build. It is in fact some 25 years... more

Les Clarions hotel and restauarant is on the outskirts of Auxerre. Clarions is a clean, well maintained hotel with very freindly and helpful staff, great value for money too. We booked two rooms for two nights B&B for 240 Euros. I booked this hotel because it as a pool which is great for letting the childen play in and unwind... more
