We were seeking an authentic French hotel experience and this is what we got at Le Seignelay. The building, like most in Auxerre, is several centuries old. We stayed in this hotel for one night. The family who owned it was friendly, giving us some tourist guides. I can't comment on the restaurant as we stayed on a Monday night when the restaurant is closed. Our room was upstairs (no lift) and parking was off-site in a secure garage nearby. A delightful, family run hotel in the center of old Auxerre. Good restaurant on site. We were received and treated quite graciously in all respects, and the prices were very reasonable for booth lodging and a meal. Would stay here again without any doubt. more

This is personal two-star family-run hotel in the centre of Auxerre old town. It is quite easy to access by car, although the garage is located a block or two away.
