I assume the hotel is rated 3 stars by the owners and not by the guests.... As per other reviews it is in a seemingly good location but the street (and we were at the front of the hotel overlooking the street) can be quite noisey. The rooms and very ordinary and breakfast is in a room in the basement... more

My travel agent booked the Philippe le Bon for our 2 day stay in Dijon on our tour of France. The hotel is pretty on the outside, and well located with good close-by parking, but everything was just revolting and I could not recommend this hotel to anyone. As with others, we took a "superior room" and paid a "superior" price. The room was OK for a basic standard 2* room, but very poor for a superior 3*. The advantages of the hotel are its central location and its secure car parking but be wary of the standard rooms overlooking the street which are functional in the extreme and in dire need of redecoration. Booked rooms via innsoffrance as it gave the best price (euro 61 per room). Called on way through to advise of time we were to arrive as requested only to be told that they had no booking. Stayed here for 2 nights in July and were not disappointed with the location- very central, and with its own (free) car park. Reasonably easy to find when arriving by car. Free private parking directly opposite hotel. Room a little small but adequate for a short stay. Bathroom fine. Value for money. more
