We stayed here with another couple, (all French natives, except me) and we were all disappointed with both the hotel and the restaurant. Our room, in the mill house, was okay, but nothing special, with evidence of mice, and just one tiny fan to combat the considerable summer heat. The pool area is unattractive. Reliable and wonderful for a real gastronomic treat, L'Esperance fully deserves to have recovered its third Michelin star. Perfect service and a courteous and charming welcome from the elegant Madame Meneau. This is however more of a restaurant with (very comfortable if rather small) rooms than a luxury hotel.
