We loved Hotel le Calendal. Rick Steves recommended it, and in fact one of his tour groups was there when we were. What a fun place with lots of energy and fluent English speaking staff. We had a great room, with a view over the Roman Theater. We reserved a parking place, which may not have been necessary, but was one less worry for us. The people at the hotel couldn't have been nicer, always helpful with suggestions, dinner reservations. Room are very clean. We would stay there again! It was really great. more

Very nice hotel, great location for exploring Arles. I booked a large room off the garden in the back and was a little disappointed to find the garden undergoing renovations, completely closed. I have to agree with other reviewers. This was a great hotel, lovely big, light and airy, room and bathroom in a wonderful central location. BUT there should be a section in the review to tell how difficult or easy the hotel is to find by car. Even with a GPS I struggled with the tiny, one-way streets. It wasn't... more
