This hotel was a delight to stay in, tucked away in the maze of back streets in the Roman town of Arles. It is difficult to find, but worth the search. We stayed in a junior suite - room 7 - which had a beautiful outside terrace. We didn't eat at the hotel, but the dinner menu sounded wonderful, and... more

We stayed here for three nights and our room was very stylish and comfortable. We had an enormous two person stone bath/shower and a bronze basin. The garden is very formal, and although we did lie on the regimented sunbeds and read, the pool is much too cold to swim in in early October as its unheated. Car parking was... more

I was blown away by this gem of a hotel and actually hesitated reviewing it because we wanted to keep it a secret! If you head to Provence, you MUST stay here. We went for two nights in mid-April and thought it was the highlight of our 14 day trip. You weave your way through the tiny alleyways of lovely... more

The hotel is very stylish, despite the rather unglamerous location ( It's a townhouse surrounded by narrow alleys). The room was nicely decorated but unfortunately they had saved on the beds. The matrasses where horrible and caused me backpain. The way the hotel dealed with the problem was a bit unusual to say the least : I was told to... more

This was a nice hotel with good sized rooms let down by the service. The hotel was advertised as having a sauna which was important as Arles in November is not sunny. However when the bill arrived there was a charge of 135Eu for the sauna/steam room having been used twice (and it was not even hot!). After some argument... more

We stayed in Hotel Particulier for two nights during our honeymoon in Arles. My wife had been slightly disappointed by the rooms in both Bernard l'Oiseau in Saulieu and George Blanc in Vonnas, so I was expecting more of the same. However the room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful and she fell in love with the place instantly, much... more

This hotel looks great. Situated in the heart of Arles, it is an easy walk to most of the town's attractions. We stayed in Room 6: so if you like what you see in my snapshots then that's the room to request. The garden is exquisite French Provencal style. Very orderly: lots of planters and formal lines and boxwood... you... more

We were married in Arles this past August 2004. We stayed at the Hotel L'Particulier as part of our honeymoon (lune de miel) It was the most relaxing, quiet, serene place I have ever been. The rooms are AMAZING, there are only 8 of them. They had four poster beds draped in sheer white cloth, huge shutter doors that opened... more

This is a lovely stylish place with a beautiful garden and pool. Dinner was perfect - if expensive. Breakfast delicious. But it is hard to find and when you do find the entrance the gates are locked and there is no bell to ring and no sign of how the hotel staff can be contacted or where the pedestrian entrance... more
