My brother and I stayed at the Golden Leaf the end of May '07. We found the room to be clean and right next to the elevator, which was convenient. The staff spoke English and was very helpful in answering any questions about the city. The room was on the second floor right next to the Golden Leaf sign outside.... more

Very spacious room (with its own balcony!) - clearly catered for business travellers as it was rare to find tea/coffee making facilities in German hotels. The hotel is in a quieter part of the city and is close to Englischer Garten and within walking distance to Marienplatz. more

Considering that Munich is an expensive city when it comes to hotels, I thought this was a good place. I paid around 50 euros a night which I thought was good value. Stayed here for World Cup semi, not a lot of decent hotels available. Greeting not especially warm. Room ok but overpriced as you would expect. Didnt eat or drink here but plenty nearby. Good location near a station and walking possible to more touristy areas. Quiet area. Small amount of parking on site more

Stayed here 4 nights. Overall, small rooms, no A/C, no printer, internet access 29euro. Beds are comfortable and bathroom is small but functional. Breakfast is basic with coldcuts and some fruit. I stayed at this hotel during the World Cup. Munich was packed but we managed to get a decent deal here.
