This hotel has a good location for exploring Berlin, only a short walk to trams and subways. The rooms are big and clean, but a little worn down. Ours had a sofa as well as twin beds, closet and a desk. A big plus is the balcony, although ours overlooked a heavy trafficked street. Wi-Fi was available for 6 EUR... more

(+) Good location if you are planning to stay in East Berlin and you are familiar with the scenery (kind of scary at night but still a safe neighbourhood) Big room, very clean bathroom, nice view from the 5th floor where i stayed kind of creepy guy at the reception at night but gentle Close to Alexanderplatz, 1 stop by... more

Awful. Located in the old East Berlin amongst abandoned and/or decrepit apartment buildings. No cafes or shops within safe walking distance. First room smelt of urine and cigarettes, asked to be moved to luke-warm reception. Was on the 8th floor, but very, very noisy. Felt unsafe, was so happy to check out and get to Hamburg! more

I can begin by saying this trip was for 14 people paid in advance months befor and was a three day two night break. Upon arrival our details for our hotel accomadation had not been forwarded to the hotel so we were not expected, a fair mistake not the hotels fault. We were kept waiting as we were told we... more

This hotel was excellent value for money. The room was incredibly spacious and while the decor was dated, it was immaculately clean, warm and had a brand new bathroom. We also had a fantastic balcony with great views of the Berlin tower which looked amazing at night. It is very well located next to the train station with plenty of... more

We were a group of 8 people on a cultural visit to Berlin. The city itself has some very beautiful parts and we enjoyed our visit, but our lasting impression is that which was left by the hotel. On a previous review there was mention of the very rude lady at breakfast, we met her and know what you mean.... more

Hotel Agon Am Alexanderplatz is NOT on Alexanderplatz - in spite of the name, and there is a difference. The first difference is location; this is not the elegance and liveliness of the main square of Alexanderplatz, but instead a slightly run-down district of former East Berlin still very much in its East German era, with little elegance or refurbishment.... more

Stayed here for two nights with my husband in mid October of this year. We had originally booked to stay at an AGON further out, on Frankfurter Allee, but when we got to that hotel they had double booked! we needn't have worried as we were immediately transported to this hotel by taxi (paid for by the hotel chain) and... more

We joined a tour group out of Singapore to Eastern Europe and our last stop was Berlin. Very very unfortunate for us that Park Inn was fully booked and the tour agent booked this hotel. Firstly the impression we got from the room was that it is not a hotel but looks more like a service apartment. THe room and... more

The buffet breakfast is standard, but the staff -leader that clears the tables and refreshes the food is abrupt. If you take an extra napkin, you get a nasty look. You must conform or you get reprimanded. Also, the beds did not have top sheets. I asked for them and had to wait a full night and a day to... more
