Unfortunately I didn't read other reviews before staying so was dismayed to find it in the middle of all the sex shops and shows. The room was fine and I figured it was safe. Went to Frankfurt for the Christmas market. Picked the City Hotel-West for its relative cheapness and proximity to the Railway Station (the bus from Hahn airport takes 2 hours and drops you at the Hauptbahnhof) Unfortunately, I had no idea when I booked that the hotel was slap bang in the middle of the Red Light District - virtually the... more

What you should know: The hotel is in the middle of the red light district; there are brothels, strip clubs, etc. around. If that bothers you, go somewhere else.
