We were attending a large trade show in Dusseldorf and due to room scarcity and outrageous prices decided to stay in Cologne. The Euro Garden was a good value. The room was small, but clean. No air conditioning, but we had an oscillating fan and that was just fine for early June. The sound of the trains didn't bother us,... more

My husband and I just returned from a 10 day Netherlands/Germany trip that included a two night stay at this hotel. While it had mixed reviews, most were positive and we took a chance...poor choice on my part. The room was extremely small, even for a European room, and did not have air conditioning. Normally in this cool Spring weather... more

Located near to the main train station, this hotel is easy to access. There is a frequent train service from Koln/Bonn airport to the central station. The rooms were satisfactory in every respect, and clean. the front desk staff were helpful. the breakfast provided was good more

A great stay at the Euro Garden. Very clean, bright rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast and in a easy, convenient location. What more can one ask for? Sure, there is building work outside the train station, but it cannot be heard in the hotel. Sure, you have to walk a few steps out of the way to get there from... more

This is your average mid-range hotel in Germany. I was weary of staying here given the last reviewer's bad rating, but I didn't have much choice as all the other hotels that had space were ridiculously expensive. Actually, my room at the Euro Garden was overpriced, too, but it's because of the huge conference I attended in Dusseldorf (not far... more

I would not recommend this hotel. My wife and I just finished a 10 day vacation in Germany visiting 7 different cities, so I have a fair number of hotel experiences for comparison. This experience was the worst. The staff at the front desk were OK. The property is near the Hauptbahnhof, but current construction on the street outside the... more

Good Things: 1.Non alcoholic beverages free of charge in you room. (2 juices and a bottle of water). I think it is a good welcome. 2.Friendly front desk personnel. They have maps and local tourist information available. 3.New and clean rooms. Included bath supplements: shampoo and soap. 4.Very rich breakfast included. It is an excellent hotel, I definitely will back... more

As noted by other reviewers, this hotel has a great location near the train station, the Cathedral, and the best art museums. It also offers a wonderful complimentary breakfast. But the furnishings are rather dowdy, and internet access is ridiculously expensive (as it is in most of Germany, though some hotels offer it as part of the package). more

We had a suite but that was just OK for size - Clean with excellent breakfast and service. Location very good for exploring this city. Just opposite the main train station. more

I agree with other recent reviewers: we stayed 2 separate nights in April. Hotel is all you'd expect from the Germans: clean, efficient, friendly, helpful, great breakfast. Quick walk to main train station, the Dom, the Fruh brauhaus (excellent!), the Rhine (great flea market on Sunday afternoon). Price during the Koln Messe (market) was, like, 179 Euros; the Sunday night... more
