Wonderful proprietors and staff. We were traveling in a group of 10, including 2 small children. The management did everything to get us rooms for families, and make sure we had a pleasant stay. Have stayed here several times before. We are always made welcome.The food is excellent and the menu changes often. The staff are very helpful and courteous.most have a good command of several languages including English.Don't think there is a better view of Trier. Have stayed in the rain and the snow but it is at its best in the summer... more

I wish we had read the previous review , I always check Trip Advisor , however I must have forgotten on this occasion . Lovely location, great view, ok rooms and food - but HOSTILE management. All three people I talked to at the front desk were unpleasant. The last encounter was as I checked out. After a couple of changes we found this hotel through Tourist Information. It is a little hard to find, keep going up the hill out of Trier until you see the hotel signposted to the right. The food is good, service excellent and very friendly. The hotel manageress speaks excellent English with a "brummie" accent! Overlooks the town and river. more
